Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Bromothane™ Products
S.N.A.P. Approved and Accepted?

Yes. All of the Bromothane™ products and their ingredients have been reviewed under the auspices of the Significant New Alternatives Program at the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection. The E.P.A. has recommended they be approved for introduction into the marketplace.

• Bromothane Is SNAP Approved by the EPA •

So, to be exact and precise, the SNAP rating on any nPB-based cleaner, including the Bromothane™ products, is "pending." But the E.P.A. has never reversed a recommended rating, so it is simply a matter of waiting for the final SNAP approval. In the interim, it is legal and appropriate to use Bromothane™ products for precision cleaning applications.

For the specific details for each product, see the individual Product Specifications available on this web site.

Call MicroCare and get a sample of the Bromothane™ specialty fluids. These are great replacements for ozone-depleting solvents such as CFC-113, chlorinated solvents, HCFC-141b and HCFC-225, as well as high-global-warming solvents such as perfluorocarbons (PFCs).
