Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Use Compressed Air
to Help Dispense Bromothane™ Products
from Drums and Pails?

To put it nicely, this ain't a great idea. Shipping and storage drums are not designed as pressure vessels. Forcing air under pressure into these drums could cause a rupture failure of the container and a serious spill of the cleaning agent.

Your best procedure is to use MicroCare's recommended best work practices for using, storing, and handling Bromothane™ solvents. Rather than pressurizing the drum, a much better idea is to use drum pumps or a gravity stand to transfer the solvent from the container to the point of use. Employees should always wear the proper safety equipment. Cautions should be taken when transferring product from a drum or pail to the cleaning equipment to avoid high concentrations of vapors.
